Brutally Honest

Today I took one interview of senior sales manger. I have seen his resume and just checked out. Then I decide not to ask anything about work he have done.

And I asked him – What values you have for your personal and professional life?

I was shocked by his answer

He said – 1st answer – Values means???

Then he said some words like money , communication, relationship and he get uncomfortable to talk more about it. And I was so shocked by the ans mean he have the experience of more than 10years in corporate.

Worked in well known and very reputed companies in India still they are not aware about – vision, values!

Then I realized – what’s missing??

I am not pointing someone or any company but I thought I should share something what I feel…. And I feel that we should work on this in our organization to aware our employees about the foundation (Values) of any decision. In my perspective Human values are most important in life—so important that people are and should be ready to sacrifice almost anything to live with their values.

Honesty, integrity, love, and happiness… Why is it important??? Knowing our values helps us achieve clarity regarding why we do what we do, and accordingly stay on track and live a consistent life. It is helpful at any stage of life, including working life since values guide our actions and behavior that decide our destiny.

A rich person with low values is not respected in society than a poor man with rich values. Therefore, it is important to learn these values and carry them. Good values make one person down to earth. It teaches one to be simple, humble and honest. Society can be a better place to live if people are filled with good values, and their values determine the actions. A person with good values will always be an asset to the family, society and nation as a whole. If people carry values, then there will be no hatred, corruption or any anti-social activities.

Good values include punctuality, sincerity, honesty, well-mannerisms, kindness, compassion and respect for elders.

“Values for myself: Integrity, Individual productivity, Responsibility, Trust , continuous self improvement (body , brain , Soul) Contribution, Discipline in Work , Consistency.” Brutal honest
